Miss Manila’s answer to question about paper currency: “Kung ano yung sinagot ni Rabiya, yun na rin lang ang sagot ko.”
According to Miss Manila, Alexandra Abdon, the answer given by Miss Iloilo, Rabiya Mateo during the final question in Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Top 5 finals is already the “winning answer”
A short-clip about an online interview of Miss Manila circulated around social media talking about Rabiya’s answer as already the best answer for that given question,
“A, katulad ng explanation ko kanina, wala akong maisip na mas magandang sagot. So, kung anong narinig kong sagot, so kung ano yung sinagot ni Rabiya, yun na rin lang ang sagot ko! And for the record, ‘yon yung winning answer. So, bakit ka pa magbibigay ng sariling opinion, may nanalo na?” – Alexandra
She also greeted the newly crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2020, “Congrats, Rabiya. Basta Ilongga, guwapa!”
Despite not winning any title from the pageant, she became one of the crowd’s favorites due to her “cool” and “chill” vibes throughout the pageant. Currently, she’s occupied posting memes about her on social media which everyone adores and loves about her personality.
For reference, the answer Rabiya gave to the final question, “If you could create any new paper currency with the image of a Filipino on it, dead or alive, who would it be and why?” goes as this,
“If I were given the chance, I want to use the face of Miriam Defensor Santiago for those who don’t know, she was an Ilongga. But what I admired about her is that she used her knowledge, her voice to serve the country. And I want to be somebody like her. Somebody who puts her heart, her passion into action. And after all, she is the best president that we never had.” – Rabiya, Miss Universe PH 2020
